ANDIAMO.MC is a high-end 32-channel mic preamp and AD/DA MADI converter with a full MADI routing matrix that forms part of DirectOut Technologies‘ extensive range of premium quality MADI converters. It allows the conversion of mic level signals into MADI digital format. 32 line outputs in balanced line level analogue format offer comfortable monitoring or stage returns.
Sophisticated design and a high level of integration have resulted in a compact, easy-to-handle 2U 19” form factor, ideal for studios, OB vans or other live recording environments where rack space is limited.
The device can be operated locally or remotely via the ANDIAMO Remote software. Supported remote methods are USB, D.O.NET, ‘MIDI over MADI’, ‘Serial over MADI’ and from mixing console.
PROTOCOL SUPPORT
AVID (PRE™)
Yamaha (DM2000,DM1000)
SSL (C10, C100 & C200)
Lawo (Dallis)
ANDIAMO Remote (Windows® / OS X®) offers access to the following features:
The settings and the routing matrix are stored inside the device.
PORT REDUNDANCY
ANDIAMO.MC is equipped with two MADI ports as standard, offering seamless port redundancy and switchover. Both MADI ports are always active and carry the same MADI data, except when the Extended Routing feature is deployed.
EXTENDED ROUTING
The Extended Routing feature enables both MADI I/Os to be used independently to:
make full use of all conversion channels at higher sample rates (192 kHz)
double the range of available MADI input channels
create two individual MADI feeds
QUICK OVERVIEW
The front panel provides status LEDs for real-time monitoring of signal condition for all input and output channels.
CLOCKING
Selectable clock sources are word clock, MADI input or the internal clock. The current system clock is provided at the word clock output at any time.
GPO
Two GPOs may be configured individually in order to monitor critical system events or to trigger a recording light.
ADAPTABLE
The device may be configured to order as follows:
SAFE OPERATION
Thanks to two phase-redundant power supplies with separate IEC inlets and AC power switches on the rear panel the device offers the highest reliability.
